Limits of Freedom, 2025
In 2025, I was added as the graphic designer of a research project that addressed the stories of enslaved people from the period of the Declaration of Independence to the Emancipation of Proclamation. I was tasked with creating a design system that did not take away from the stories being told while enhancing visual interest.
From the typography to the colors and graphics, I wanted this project to really feel like the time period it was covering. There was a large amount of text on limited space, so the best way was to simplify the design while keeping core elements, which resulted in the design being a seamless transition from looking to reading.

Embodying Editorial, 2025
A project created by Rachele Riley, for the assignment, I chose an article discussing the popular media of anime and manga and how it has reached fine art spaces. I wanted to highlight the craft and the specifics of the manga and drew inspiration from the panels for the text in the interior spreads. There is also an Obi strip which has been used in many other Japanese art forms. There was a limited amount of text compared to the panels, so there was a need to pick the necessary pullouts and correct formatting to keep visual appeal consistent.
Aphorism, 2025

A project by Rachele Riley, I chose an aphorism by Maya Angelou that resonated with my personal experiences, then created a visual representation of the quote. This project was an initial dive on book interior formatting, but there was importance to the visuals. I wanted to play around with typography in a dynamic way, working with balance.
Bubble Leaf, 2024
After creating my own typeface, I created additional posters that showcased and highlighted the typeface. The name is based on the curves that are throughout the lettering and the character defining leaf in the middle of letters. This decorative typeface excels at headers and title, specifically the main typeface for a poster.
